Job Purpose
To achieve sales, net margin and rebate targets for your categories by delivering a compelling customer proposition both online and in-store
Core Accountabilities
* Select, source, and negotiate comprehensive, compelling ranges which deliver competitive advantage
* To manage the day-to-day business of your categories, both instore and online, ensuring sales, net margin and rebates are achieved negotiating cost prices and margin support as required
* To identify, negotiate and deliver incremental revenue including additional funding for promotional activity and rebates
* Carry out daily competitor checks, stores and online
* To ensure POS and promotional changes are briefed in a timely manner
* To develop and maintain a keen awareness of the market at all times, anticipating product, price and new technology trends, actively seeking new opportunities to maintain a competitive edge

Skills and Knowledge required
A minimum of 5 years experience, working in a retail commercial role is essential
Confident and assertive in decision making
A team player who is self motivated, organised and has the ability to work to tight deadlines and 'multi-task'
Highly numerate with a methodical approach to work
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Excellent relationship building skills - realises the value of maintaining good working relationships with key contacts
Good computer skills with an advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
