Senior Buyer

A growing business based in Alfreton are currently looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis

Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be responsible for:

• Sourcing items required for finished products
• Sourcing items for capital equipment
• Placing purchase orders
• Co-ordinating with planning and production
• Ensuring stock is available to coincide with planned production
• Matching order to goods received
• Exploring and following up all cost saving opportunities
• Liaising with suppliers and monitoring supplier performance
• Spending budget maintenance
• First in, first out usage
• Dealing with all sub-contractors
• Processing all invoices

In return this role will offer a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, 20 days holiday. Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm with 30 minutes for lunch.

Applicants must have previous buying experience, the role will also include the supervision of 1 member of staff. The company have continued to grow year on year and so this role offers an amazing opportunity to join the business.
