An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Supply Chain Planner based at their prestigious facility in Leatherhead. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 12 months, working a 36.25-hour week. This role is paying between £39,500 and £45K per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Unilever is actively seeking an ambitious Supply Chain Planner/ PMO lead who is looking for a new challenge and to broaden their skills and experience base. You will part of a team that overall is responsible for UKI Demand forecasting, Supply planning, Innovation Planning as well delivering a substantial change program.

Your role will initially focus on Project/Program management working directly for the Planning Director and Planning Manager, that will then additionally include execution of the Planning transition throughout the Project/Program.

Skills & Experience
You will have experience of either Supply planning, Material planning, Forecasting, or Project/Program management in a fast-paced environment. Beyond your current experience, by the end of the contract, you should have developed your skills into at least one new area. You must have either SAP APO experience and/or a strong Project/Program Management Office experience with a desire to finish the contract skilled in both. PRINCE2 qualification is an advantage but not essential.

You will be of graduate calibre with relevant academic or business training. A team player with strong interpersonal, motivational, communication (written and oral) and organisational skills. You will be comfortable working with high levels of autonomy. You will be structured, and can see things from a helicopter view but also enjoy digging into details.

Key responsibilities

In the Project Management Office Phase

  • Act as main interface between the Head office-based Forecasting and Supply Planning functions and the other parts of the Program/Projects you are working on.
  • Identify all aspects of risk, especially at the interface with other Project departments, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensure all new innovations are integrated into the overall Program/Projects timelines, identify issues and clashes, and propose resolution options.
  • Carry out risk assessment of programs and instigate corrective action
  • Provide monthly updates/program status reports relating to key milestones
  • Provide continuous input/direction to the overall program/project from a Forecasting and Supply Planning perspective;
  • Maintain and report key metrics for senior management team

Additionally, in the execution phase

  • Plan the transition changes as required by the Program/Projects, using SAP APO and other Planning and reporting systems.
  • Execute the designed transition, resolving issues previously un-identified, working with Demand and Supply Planners.
  • Return the finished Program/Projects to the operational control of the Demand and supply Planners.
