BID Manager-National Food Supplier

£45,000-£47,000 DOE + car & package

Are you a commercially minded Proposal Manager with a proven track record of successfully writing and managing tenders?  Are you looking for the next step in your career?

There are load of really exciting things about this job. It is flexible on location and you’ll be able to work form home where appropriate and in various different sites, you will be working for a national leader in the food industry that can offer career progression and development, and you’ll have the benefit of excellent remuneration.

Your main objective will be the development of new business opportunities, responsibility for bid/tender submissions and the management of pipeline opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver the tender process through to completion.
  • Tender writing and critical path management
  • Update and manage new business prospect list.
  • Produce cost model analysis
  • Oversee all pricing activity for specific contracts
  • Monitoring and management of stock
  • Oversee all efficiency and margin initiatives
  • Conduct supplier negotiation
  • Identify and maximise new business opportunities 
     

Essential experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of the Foodservice Market or FMCG Industry is preferred 
  • A proven track record of successfully writing and managing tenders.
  • Be analytical with an excellent working knowledge of systems especially Excel.
  • Be able to build strong working relationships internally and externally and have a passion for customer service.
