My client on the outskirts of Ipswich are looking for someone to join their team as a Procurement Assistant. They are a small friendly team and looking for someone that is confident, hard-working and self-motivated.

What’s involved?
The role will involve a range of duties and will include but not be limited to the following:
Checking invoices for accuracy
Opening post
Inputting orders onto sage 50
liaising with production team and suppliers
recording production information on a daily basis
negotiating prices and terms with suppliers
Carry out daily purchasing

Why you?
You will be confident and adaptable in your communication style as you will be communicating with key suppliers, over the phone, email and face to face. They are offering training tailored to your level of experience so you must be keen to learn and driven to succeed. Ideally they are wanting someone that has previous purchasing experience and used sage 50 before, but this is not essential. Your mind-set will be team focused and proactive.

What they are offering
Salary will be dependent on experience but will be £18,000-£22,000
Hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Holiday is 21 days per annum plus bank holidays
They are shut over the Christmas so you will be required to use some of your holiday to cover these dates.
