Description
- Define and implement monthly, weekly and daily inventory processes to support stock file integrity, service level and operational efficiency
- Ensure all stock is accounted for from initial receipt, during storage and through to final delivery.
- Ensure high standards of stock integrity and minimise stock losses, through the effective control and management of a robust perpetual inventory procedure.
- Raise the profile of the stock control team within the operation building credibility in order to influence the operations team and the wider business
- Lead a team of up to 20 stock control colleagues to maintain stock accuracy and control within agreed budgets
- Ensure relevant development plans are in place for team members to support internal promotion and succession planning.
- Provide accurate and meaningful reports to the Operational Management team to drive stock integrity and accuracy
- Define and report upon monthly KPI's for inventory management and control
- Take ownership for the management of DC master data such as product dimensions, pallet configuration etc. to ensure data integrity
- Complete appropriate stock moves at required intervals to support operational efficiency and fulfilment
- Liaise with the Supply team regarding product packaging, order quantities, carton specification etc. with the aim of optimising efficiency and minimising the risk of errors
- Liaise with the Customer Services team on non-fulfilment of customer orders due to inventory issues, providing clear and transparent information
- Investigate inventory issues providing immediate short term resolution and also root cause analysis and actions to resolve permanently
- Define and implement inventory maintenance processes to make best use of physical space, reducing requirement for third party storage
- Manage the process for all new store launches, supporting 100% availability and providing clear, accurate and timely communication to all stakeholders
- Oversee all stock clearance activity ensuring stock exits the business in line with agreed processes and timescales
- Ensure quick processing of all DC to DC stock transfers to ensure stock is made available in the shortest possible time
- Report on DC adjustments providing required data for Finance and Supply
- Work with the Loss Prevention team to address any risks of stock loss and process non-compliance
- Influence the use of associated information systems to support stock file integrity
- Monitor supplier compliance with Inbound processes from booking in to delivery, escalating non-compliance to the relevant Supply Managers
- Ensure any product issue which is quality or recall is clearly communicated processed and all key stakeholders are briefed and know the required level of information.
- Recognise exceptional requests for inventory management activity and ensure appropriate escalation and recharge to supplier/relevant department where necessary
Profile
- Is able to form positive relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
- Has a strong background in perfomance and process development
- Is able to manage a team independently
- Can oversee a large and varied stock rotation
- Experience of Oracle or associated WMS would be an advantage
Job Offer
A salary of between £30,000 and £32,000
