Pharmaceutical Logistics Coordinator
£24,000 per year plus 5% bonus and benefits

My client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. They now have an exciting opportunity at a respected pharmaceutical customer for a Pharmaceutical Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement of materials.

The Opportunity
This job is ideal for someone with a shipping, stores, or logistics background (ideally with dangerous goods or from a scientific environment) wanting to gain some additional experience in this field.
Reporting into the team leader, you will act as a key point of contact for all research staff to deal with queries pertaining to stores stock inventory and dispatch of samples and will enhance operational effectiveness of this area.
The Materials management duties include:
- Receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea)
- Dispatch goods ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and meets GLP, GxP and Health and Safety standards.
- Resolve or escalate complex queries from the customer
- Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections as needed.
- Ensure that materials with special handling, storage or distribution requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature sensitive material) are properly monitored.
- Archiving of documentation
About You
To apply for this role you should demonstrate:
- Experience of working in a stores environment, preferably in science, chemicals or pharmaceuticals
- Excellent customer service focus and the ability to work collaboratively
- Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem-solving capabilities
- Attention to detail
Experience working to IATA/ADR/IMDG is an advantage
