Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager to join an exciting education sector organisation in Leeds City Centre on a permanent basis.

Role:

The Category Manager role will play a key role within the Procurement Department with exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation. Duties will include;

  • Proactively leading on collaborative tendering and contract management opportunities for a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Managing complex information across multi-disciplinary stakeholders
  • Create, implement and manage  category spend helping achieve value for money
  • Manage relationships with Senior Managers, internal stakeholders and key suppliers
  • Responsible for the implementation of collaborative contracts for client institutions, either at framework level or via aggregated competition
  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies
  • Collate and analyse management information
  • Carry out market, supplier and spend analysis – followed by appropriate benchmarking

Person

  • CIPS qualification would be preferred
  • Experience within a similar Category/Procurement Manager
  • Public Sector procurement experience is beneficial
