We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to lead a team of 7 stock controllers, who manage 6500 line items sourced via almost 500 active suppliers and over £16,000,000 worth of inventory at any one time through our network of regional and central warehouses.

In a fast paced, ever changing environment we are looking for a commercially minded individual, who enjoys collaborative problem solving to meet company objectives

The products you will be responsible for are mainly for the Print and Packaging sectors of the business, and will have stretching targets to achieve in terms of Availability and Working Capital objectives.

This position will have primary responsibility for the inventory management element of the role, but will also require a technically minded individual who will support the stock management system and relationship with the external provider of that software. You will also support the active development of the supply chain of product into the business, stock location strategy and system support.

You'll need excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and will enjoy working under pressure whilst prioritising workload to achieve results.

Essential Skills
  • Solid stock and audit management experience.
  • Experience in a stock control environment at management level.
  • Able to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint to an advanced level.
  • Ability to use Data Warehouse Tools such as Business Objects.
  • Experienced in managing staff performance, attendance, discipline issues and development.
  • High level of accuracy & attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach and ability to demonstrate initiative.
  • Ability to challenge views and negotiate peers / stakeholders.
