Job Purpose

This is a new position within our Schools Department and is suitable for an experienced, skilled and motivated individual with experience in the early years or children’s activities sector. The primary aim of the post is to ensure the programme that is being delivered is compliant with Ofsted regulations for Out of School provisions, carrying out weekly site visits. In addition to this the post holder will also be responsible for developing high quality programme content, training part-time staff to deliver this, managing, monitoring, purchasing resources & equipment. Finally supporting Playworker apprentices during day to day tasks.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Monitoring delivery within the programme to ensure it meets Ofsted regulations and that the highest level of service & quality is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all school provisions are delivered in line with the regulations of Ofsted’s EYFS Common Inspection Framework.
  • Ensure all delivery staff are aware of the schools safeguarding processes. To include prevent duty & British Values.
  • Quality assure provision at all schools by carrying out regular spot checks and audits.
  • Develop programme content for schools/provisions, including activity plans, weekly themes and celebration events per term.
  • Implement new content into the programme.
  • Deliver training sessions to part-time staff and coordinating CPD opportunities for them.
  • Support delivery staff in raising levels of service quality.
  • Support in development of marketing the company product to include attending school events such as open days, fetes, sports days as an example.
  • Support the development & delivery of the 'HolidayCamps’ programme.
  • Support in any Ofsted Inspections or external agency visits.
  • Support compliant handling.

Education and Experience

  • Strong understanding of Safeguarding, British Values & Prevent Duty
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted’s EYFS Common Inspection Framework
  • Extensive experience of Ofsted audits within a school/childcare setting
  • Experience of quality assuring childcare provision
  • Evidence of developing high quality content for Early Years provision or children’s multi activity programme of a high standard
  • Experience of delivering staff training sessions
  • Educated to Early Years or Playworker Level 3 or higher

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • Any relevant professional qualifications
  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate
