SF Group are hiring a Contract Manager for an organisation based in Birmingham.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the main purpose of this job is to manage key strategic contracts on behalf of the Estates and Facilities and the IT departments to ensure that contracts are operating effectively, sourcing and collecting contract performance data (such as pricing and supply chain costs), monitoring performance and KPI's and monitoring compliance with Terms and Conditions. This role will take appropriate steps to address contractual non-compliance and pro-actively manage risk and reward mechanisms in contracts. The role will provide a strategic link between the Procurement department and the Estates and Facilities and IT departments, to drive value for money through contracts and improve contract performance and management information.
The main objectives of this role are:
1) Manage contracts on behalf of the Estates and Facilities and the IT departments, sourcing and collecting contract performance data such as pricing and supply chain costs.
2) Establish and monitor contract performance to ensure KPI's are achieved and address contractual non-compliance
3) Liaise with the Procurement Category Managers to provide contractual information and data to support procurement activity
4) Ensure value for money and legal compliance while meeting the needs of Stakeholders and Procurement, in an effective manner.
5) Add value to Stakeholders and Procurement through delivery of sustainable savings and process improvement
You must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. MCIPS) with proven experience of procuring and/or managing IT and/or Facilities Management and Estates contracts within a public sector organisation. You will also have experience of managing contracts to ensure that suppliers adhere to agreed contract requirements and experience of developing and managing action plans to implement any improvement initiatives.
You must have the ability to build relationships within the supply chain and internal clients and a good understanding of general contract law principles, as well as knowledge of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. You will have a commercial outlook and demonstrable experience of negotiation with suppliers to drive value for money in contracts.
