A successful luxury spa products manufacturer, with national presence, is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor. Based in their manufacturing facility, you will be planning all van driver routes for the delivery and repairs of company products. Working 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday shift. Based in Nottingham, you will successfully plan routes for approximately 20-25 delivery vans a day. This is a vital role as your route planning must be cost effective and as efficient as possible. This will include liaising with the driver managers and the customer services team. You'll also write daily, weekly and monthly reports to senior management, ensuring that all deliveries are completed within the transport budget on time.

The role requires a strong focus on high standard of administration skills, good route planning knowledge and understanding of transport rules/ WTDs.

As the Logistics Supervisor your duties will include:

  • Route planning for 20-25 vehicles daily, with cost effective runs to customers' homes nationally
  • Ensuring that all deliveries are completed on time so that customers expectations are met
  • Liaising with the customer services team regularly to ensure the delivery plan meets requirements
  • Calculating estimated times for engineering jobs for the current day and analyse variances
  • Carrying out 1-2-1s, appraisals and development of your team
  • Reviewing current processes and writing new SOPS for the department
  • Create new reporting processes to improve the logistics function financially and operationally. Communicate these findings to senior management
  • Ensuring that all plans are compliant with WTD and driving hours
  • Liaising with Technical Support for times worked the previous day by engineers on site/travel time
  • Informing the driver managers of the route plan for the next day
  • Updating Clocking in Machine with engineer shifts for the next working day

To be a successful Logistics Supervisor you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Logistics coordinator, Transport Planner, Transport Co-ordinator, Logistics Admin or Transport Admin experience
  • Familiar with Routemaster/Salesforce software is desirable
  • Good route planning knowledge
  • High standard of administration skills
  • Good customer service skills - understanding of luxury customer experience an advantage
  • Good IT skills: especially with Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to adapt to changes to the schedules
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive outlook, good communicator and team worker

The Logistics Supervisor will be working on a dayshit, 9:00am-6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

In return, the Logistics Supervisor will receive a competitive salary of £25,000-£28,000 (depending on experience). Additional opportunities exist due to company expansion.
