Our Bracknell based client is currently recruiting for a Purchasing planner to join their busy and growing supply chain team.
Within Supply Chain you shall be exposed to all aspects of production - from new product development to factory optimisation, dealing with supplier troubles to ensuring outbound supply to some of the world's biggest retailers.
As a Supply Chain Purchasing Planner, you will be required to understand our stock levels of components and the needs of the Production Plan. You will have to be able to spot usage trends to build-up and run-down component stocks. A methodical, problem-solving mentality is essential; you will have to deal with issues on a daily basis.
The Role
- To drive the Purchasing of components to feed production environment
- To monitor, analyse and manipulate stock level reports to understand usage trends and assess future demands
- To understand the limitations, strengths and weaknesses of the production site to permanently evolve planning method
- To work closely with Procurement to establish best suppliers and sources for components
- To build strong business-relationships with suppliers and other external entities
- To work closely with Marketing on new product development
The Person
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Self-motivation and a sincere, enthusiastic approach
- A problem-solving mindset and rigorous organisation skills are essential
- A degree with an Engineering/Mathematical/Scientific background is advantageous
