Are you a transport or logistics coordinator / manager? If yes, you would be most suited for this super new vacancy based in Newhaven. If no but you have proven scheduling, logistics or similar operations experience, these skills would also be advantageous to deliver this role's objectives.

We are looking for a self-motivated and forward-thinking Operations Manager to join our Clients organisation - which is a progressive charity. You will develop and lead the operational side of the organisation, in keeping with the Charities core purpose, vision and values.

Transport Operations Manager key duties:

  • To manage the efficient, cost effective delivery of a Community Transport service.
  • To ensure that the Charities fleet of vehicles are maintained and managed in accordance to current policy and legislative requirements.
  • To deploy vehicles and personnel as necessary to deliver first class service in accordance with agreed obligations.
  • To be a positive leader and role model for all employees and volunteers.
  • To support the General Manager as required, in delivering organisational goals.

The successful Transport Operations Manager will:

  • Either have the appropriate qualification or be prepared to study to achieve the Transport Manager CPC for passenger transport.
  • Will hold a full driving licence with D1 entitlement.

Salary £24K + subject to experience and qualifications.

Hours are Mon to Fri, 5-day week, and ideally 7am to 3.30pm with a rota covering weekend operations (predominantly managed by mobile phone, not office based).
