Our Corby based client is recruiting a National Parts Procurement Manager on a permanent basis to generate sourcing and procurement strategies, and negotiate terms with external vendors to enhance profitability for the business.

Core Activities will include-

  • Gain buying power from non-OEM purchases within the business which are carried out on a local basis
  • Generate sourcing and procurement strategies
  • Discover profitable suppliers and build business partnerships
  • Negotiate with external vendors to enhance profitability for the company.
  • Examine and test existing contracts
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Finalise purchase details for orders and deliveries in line with ISO procedures
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenditure and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key personnel to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

  • To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability

The successful candidate will demonstrate/possess the following attributes:-

  • Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager
  • Talent in negotiations and networking
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
  • Aptitude in decision-making
  • Experience in collecting and analysing data
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with personnel of all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative & prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
