Our Corby based client is recruiting a National Parts Procurement Manager on a permanent basis to generate sourcing and procurement strategies, and negotiate terms with external vendors to enhance profitability for the business.
Core Activities will include-
- Gain buying power from non-OEM purchases within the business which are carried out on a local basis
- Generate sourcing and procurement strategies
- Discover profitable suppliers and build business partnerships
- Negotiate with external vendors to enhance profitability for the company.
- Examine and test existing contracts
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Finalise purchase details for orders and deliveries in line with ISO procedures
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenditure and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with key personnel to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

- To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability
The successful candidate will demonstrate/possess the following attributes:-
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
- Aptitude in decision-making
- Experience in collecting and analysing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with personnel of all levels
- Ability to work on own initiative & prioritise workload.
- Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
