We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Operations Manager to join our HR team in Birmingham. Overseeing a team of Senior Caseworkers and Senior HR-Advisors, you will be ensuring the casework services delivered to the organisation are efficient and effective meeting the needs both of Highways England and the customer. This includes providing specialist employment law advice in response to escalated cases and queries along with the operational management of the casework team.

What you'll be leading on

* Provide employment law guidance and advice to aid the resolution of complex cases and queries including ACAS and Employment Tribunals ensuring the best outcome is found with a timely resolution

* Interpreting policy, procedure and processes to resolve case management

* Monitor operational performance and service level agreements through the analysis of KPIs / metrics, use KPIs to identify trends that enable learning, improve feedback and make recommendations to policy and procedure

* Champion a customer focused service culture, by ensuring continuous improvement in the efficiency and quality of Casework services

* Directly support the implementation of conduct, grievance, performance and attendance policies and processes, challenging fit for purpose, and taking steps to address them by working within and across HR to support the business

* Support managers at formal hearings as appropriate influencing to ensure robust decisions that meet performance and behavioural standards of the company

To be successful

* Extensive working knowledge of employment law, governance guidelines, compliance and regulatory requirements

* Demonstrable experience of working across a complex and fast paced multi-functional organisation

* A degree qualification in relevant area

* CIPD or equivalent in experience

* Wide ranging experience in HR including Employment Tribunal & ACAS Casework

* Line management experience

* Project management experience
