Analyst & Supply Chain Assistant Bedfordshire £30k

The role
Reporting to and providing support to the Senior Supply Chain & Commercial Analysis Manager with responsibility for mining and presentation of key business data to be used in strategic decision making, utilising existing systems with the aim to provide a global solution and using Google Analytics to review website performance and give feedback with regards to improvement in onsite strategy. To be responsible for demand planning and buying for the EU business.
Key responsibilities
Be the gatekeeper for EU weekly spend
EU/UK inventory levels & weekly spend with Vendors
Maintain EU cost file
Compile scorecard information on EU vendors.
Create and issue Purchase Orders in line with company demand and liaising with external suppliers.
Assist with Goods In - ensuring purchase order accuracy/closure
Reconcile aged purchase orders
Investigate and resolve any finance queries involving EU purchase orders
Liaise with all areas of the business, with direct interaction with business intelligence, category and planning and finance
Compile analytical reports to deliver meaningful data to make decisions
Utilise Google Analytics to create reports for business improvement
Work cross functionally to create detailed global reporting solutions
Monitor Category & Product performance
Proactive involvement in improvement of systems and processes.
The successful candidate
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Analytical approach and ability to identify potential trends in data.
Good communication skills at all levels.
Must have strong attention to detail and experience of data entry
Self-starter with the ability to execute work with limited direction
Excellent time management skills with a strong ability to be organized
Understanding of Planning and Purchasing systems with a methodical approach
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of supplements, sports nutrition, and the health and fitness industry is preferable though not essential
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience of using analytical systems is required
Experience of Google Analytic data mining would be an advantage.
Experience in SQL would be an advantage
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, marketing, finance, or other related field is desirable
