Senior Procurement Manager - NHS
Paying £24.53 per hour - Band 8a
Birmingham - B7
Temporary - starting ASAP until the end of April. With potential for the role to be extended
Hours: 09.00 - 17.00 Monday - Friday
As an experienced Senior Procurement Manager you will support to the Head of Procurement in establishing and delivering a world class procurement service to the trust. Managing the delivery of the trusts contracts work plan and ensuring projects are delivered in line with expectations. Engaging with Senior Directorate stakeholders to support the development of future cash releasing efficiency savings. Directly responsible for 2 Procurement Managers, 1 Supply Operations Manager and a Contracts Manager you will have an authorising status within the Trust up to the value of £25,000.
You will be:
*Understanding individual department requirements and how they link to the wider trust objectives
*Managing the procurement process for high value/strategically important projects - data analysis, producing tender and contractual documentation, devising and managing time lines
*Producing and analysing complex documents using Word and Excel
*Leading and supporting other procurement team members in complex negotiations
*Supporting the Head of Procurement in the creation, delivery and management of a sustainable procurement policy for the trust.
*Developing and implementing methodologies to facilitate and monitor contracts
*Developing and managing the annual procurement contracts work plan linking to internal stakeholders to ensure its alignment
*Ensuring supportive arrangements are in place and carrying out personal development reviews for direct reports along with developing staff knowledge and skills
*Undertaking appraisals, including identifying the learning and development needs of individuals in line with Knowledge and Skills Outline Framework.
You will:
*Have an understanding of the national perspective and future strategy for the NHS
*Be experienced within an NHS Procurement function
*Possess a proven track record of delivering cash releasing savings
*Have a robust knowledge of Contract Law, EU Directories and purchasing procedures
*Hold a professional procurement qualifications MCIPS or equivalent
To be considered for this role, your CV must clearly demonstrate the above skills and experience ideally gained within the NHS.
Plum Personnel Ltd will pay the upfront associated costs for your Occupational Screening and the Mandatory Training (essential) - this will be at a reduced fee of £30 which will be deducted from your pay over the first 3-weeks or on completion of your assignment (whichever comes first).
