Supply Chain Co-ordinator, circa £30k, located in Crawley, West Sussex - Technical background desirable.

Your new role
You will join the team and show strong ability in expediting suppliers, be hands on, switched on and be able to commit to gaining great product knowledge. You will be involved in production orders, made to order items, key stock items, and items on automatic re-order.

You will cover the day to day tasks of chasing purchase orders required for production and spares orders within the agreed financial threshold values.

You will be a confident individual willing to pick up the phone and cross communicate with other departments. You will liaise with relevant suppliers using your own initiative and reporting any potential issues to other team members and/or your reporting Manager

You will have some knowledge of KANBAN stock (this includes: bin quantities, converting requisition worksheets into POs and contacting suppliers).

Experience of working with extrusion stock is an advantage (both on Navision & at the suppliers). All changes must be updated on Navision in a timely manner.

You will be managing the requirements of various fixings/nuts/bolts that are used within the product. Ensuring the Direct Line Feed delivery is regularly taking place.

You will be confident in supplier expedition and prioritising component deliveries with suppliers to ensure that they are delivered in a timely fashion to meet the production schedule as well as liaising with production personnel so that, on receipt, urgent components are processed promptly and are made available to the correct staff without delay.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be educated to A level or equivalent, have education or experience in a Purchasing / Logistics / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering sector and hold relevant experience for the role.

If you have any experience of using / implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 that would be of particular interest.

You will be accurate with a keen eye for detail, have the ability to analyse and problem solve, possess a good knowledge of Excel spreadsheets (intermediate preferable) and have good communication skills (both verbal and written) as you will be liaising with various departments and suppliers.
