We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Assistant to join our client on a 2 and a half year contract. The successfull candidate will report directly into the Procurement & Inbound Logistics Manager. The main role of the assistant will be to provide support to the UK Procurement Manager with the decommissioning of another site. Your job role will include: - Procurement administration duties including quotation analysis - Raising of purchase orders - Engaging with relevant project stakeholders and providing general project support. The successful candidate will have previous procurement experience along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be a good negotiator, be able to work as part of a team as well as working independently using own initiative. You must have the ability to manage and prioritise workload, adhere to tight deadlines, be cost conscious and self-motivated and exhibit a positive attitude in respect of continuous improvement and learning and development. Previous experience of using SAP and Microsoft Office products including excel, word and PowerPoint is essential. The candidate must possess a clean UK Full driving license as occasional travel will be necessary. Hours of work are Monday - Friday 37.5 hours to be agreed.
