Our client based in Maidenhead is seeking a Procurement Manager to provide leadership and support to the Procurement team alongside managing a wide range of contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract and commercial negotiations supporting management/ legal throughout the business
  • In-depth understanding of contract or procurement processes and their value to the business. Manage workflow and the significance of process and process tools in its execution.
  • Detailed knowledge of contract management, planning, monitoring and control of all aspects of the contract process
  • Ensure that risks are understood and mitigated to an agreed level, through effective contracts and the development of appropriate professional relationships with key suppliers and contractors;
  • Creates and develops the procurement plan, to include savings and efficiencies
  • Proactively works to deliver the identified savings in line with the Procurement Plan;
  • Manages the Third party Supplier / Contract and Procurement Governance Framework;
  • Creating and maintaining audit trails for procurement and contract management
  • Manages the bidding process from initial contact through to contract signing for all tier one suppliers

Requirements:

  • Strong IT procuring, HR servicing and legal support background
  • Detailed understanding of Commercial and Contract Terms and Conditions and the broad range of strategies
  • Strategic sourcing and negotiation experience
  • Supplier management and development experience
  • Communication, presentation and influencing skills including to Senior Management
  • A good level of understanding of contract and commercial law and sound understanding of contractual terms and conditions
  • Degree certification
  • CIPS qualification

This is a full-time working position working Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm.
