Production & Shipping Planner, leading consumer brand!

Leading beauty brand that can be found on the shelves of retailers from Primark to Boots is looking for an experienced, committed Shipping & Logistics Planner to join their Operations & Supply Chain team.

Reporting to the Head of Operations and Supply Chain, you will ensure production is in line with the critical path, relevant AQL tests are completed, and samples received at the correct times.

You will be arranging sea and air shipments and deliveries to the company’s UK warehouse. You will manage freight forwarder collections, liaising with the warehouse teams on both inbound and outbound delivery schedules, reprocessing key requirements and overseeing on capacity planning.

Duties for this Production & Shipping Planner role will include:

• Liaising with factories to ensure that production and samples are always on time, in line with the business critical path
• Monitoring and identifying any potential risks within the production process, being proactive in providing solutions
• Regularly liaising with factories, building solid relationships
• Communicating with the factories regarding AQL testing, and to manage AQL inspections at factories using company inspection teams as required
• Arranging timely and cost-efficient inbound shipments, both air and sea freight, including LCLs, raising documentation and obtaining quotes as necessary
• Liaising with internal teams, ensure all products are received on time and processed efficiently in order to meet customer delivery dates
• Manage re-processing requirements with the warehouse teams, such that stock is available in a timely manner
• Planning capacity with company warehouse, flagging any capacity concerns quickly
• Maintaining all company tracker and product management reports, ensure they are up-to-date and accurate at all times
• Supporting the wider business with analysis, reporting and project work as required

Requirements for thisShipping & Logistics Planner position:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar role
• Solid Far East supplier experience
• Excellent and through understanding of shipping
• Deadline driven, with experience of working to critical paths
• Experience working with Supplier Manuals
• Proficient with IT and systems, with advanced excel skills
• An excellent communicator, with the ability to create and maintain solid relationships, both internally and externally
• Numeric and analytical, with excellent forecasting skills
• A confident decision maker, with the ability to prioritise workloads
• A flexible, proactive approach, and a team player!
