I am partnering with a leading FMCG business who are actively looking to recruit an excellent Import / Export Coordinator for their Distribution facility in Huntingdon. Operating across an International distribution network, they are at the forefront of businesses offering a huge range of opportunities to progress and develop within their business.

Description

The responsibilities of the Import / Export Coordinator will be:

  • To assist in the smooth running of the import / export departments
  • Acting as the account manager for specified leading key accounts and handling of ad hoc business
  • Customs clearance
  • Arranging and monitoring the transportation of goods across road, sea and air freight
  • Organising onward deliveries as per customer requirements
  • Invoicing and job costing functions
  • Document attachment per shipment
  • Setting up and ensuring compliance with customer and advising wherever necessary of changes in legislation
  • To undertake additional work/customers during other staff holiday periods.
  • Delegating and monitoring employee daily workloads
  • Ensuring all invoice transactions are processed within given deadlines and payment is received where credit terms are not in place
  • To ensure compliance is maintained with HMRC customs clearance policies

Profile

The successful Import / Export Coordinator applicant will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Have a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background
  • Have a minimum of 1 years experience within an Import / Export / Customers / Freight based role
  • Have a good and current knowledge of Customs compliance
  • Experience working with different document types, paperwork and invoices
  • Able to build relationships with other departments and contacts at third parties
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks at any one time and to work under pressure
  • Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Enjoys problem solving and overcoming challenges
  • Comfortable working with systems and databases
  • Experience in following processes and making sure tasks are completed correctly
  • Strong influencing, persuasion and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working as part of a team and proven ability to collaborate with others
  • Be commutable to Huntingdon

Job Offer
