Having partnered with a well known retailer based South London, Zachary Daniels are on the look out for up and coming Junior Buyers for categories across hardlines!

As a Junior Buyer for our client, you will thrive from working at pace and balancing your focus on both the products and the commercials. You will be proactive in supporting your Buyer whilst taking on category ownership.

In this particular role, you will be given real opportunity to demonstrate your commercial acumen and negotiation skills. You will enjoy working at pace to keep ahead of the competition and will use this as an opportunity to put your name to something.

Key responsibilities will include:

• P&L accountability for given category
• Developing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers
• Reviewing market to keep abreast of competition, ensuring own range is taken to market with pace and credibility
• Mentoring Assistant Buyer
• Taking on additional responsibility as requested from Buyer
• Ensuring critical path is adhered to and cross functional working is encouraged
• Effectively negotiating terms with suppliers
• Domestic and FE sourcing

Ideally you will have come from a retail background, supplier side will also be considered. Fundamentally, you will enjoy working with pace, tenacity and passion.
