Supplier Relationship Manager

This is an exciting opportunity within a growing interior fit-out consultancy. Our client is looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to take responsibility for contracts and suppliers across the Midlands. In particular, the successful candidate will be involved in the procurement and management of MEP sub-contract packages on a range of different commercial refurbishment projects.

Our client is a project & programme management consultancy for the built environment. They specialise in strategic frameworks as well as single projects across design, refurbishment, fit-out and interiors.

Description

• Subcontractor engagement in line with business requirements including on boarding and identifying appropriate opportunities for key subcontract trades.
• Monitoring of performance measures to identify issues and working with Head of Supply Chain and operational teams to resolve.
• Supplier relationship management and developer of suppliers, in particular, Strategic Partners, to improve efficiency and reduce cost of service to the business.
• To be an MEP procurement lead with regard to engaging relevant subcontractors and ensuring that project delivery is in line with Group strategy.

Profile

The successful candidate will preferably be CIPS qualified (or working towards), at least 5 years of procurement and supply chain experience within the construction industry. Our client are specifically looking for someone to be the MEP procurement lead, so it is essential that you have experience of procuring M&E or MEP subcontracting packages.
