Operations Manager

Are you an experienced Operations Manager with strong people management skills? Are you able to manage KPI's and drive sales throughout a business from the shop floor? Do you want to be second in command to the MD and run a very profitable company?

My client, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to help run the day to day operations. Reporting directly to the MD and part of the Senior management team you will have 5 direct reports and almost 100 indirect. The business is very successful and is one the market leaders in their sectors so having strong people management skills is essential to continue driving successful performances.

The successful Operations Managers responsibilities will include:

• Have a hold on growth plans and ensure you breed success.
• Daily operations across production, procurement and planning.
• Manage stock control and ensure all input and outputs are recorded accurately.
• Have the ability to work to strict deadlines and beat the drum across the shop floor.
• Ensure all Health & Safety is maintained at all times working with QHSE Manager and operators.

Having pride in their workforce and working environment, additional responsibilities will include making sure the equipment is all in working order and the shop floor is clean and tidy. You will coordinate activities that are lead from the senior management team in the best interest of the employees and the business.

In return for your experience my client offers a fantastic remunerations package with a starting salary up to £55,000 DOE. Having experience within the sheet metal industry or equivalent sectors is desirable however not essential.

This role will be of interest and suit an individual that has operated at Production Manager, Operations Manager, Works Manager or Manufacturing Manager previously. With the role being based in the Midlands it is easily commutable from West Bromwich, Dudley, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Kidderminster and Bromsgrove.
