Deputy Finance & Purchasing Manager - Halifax Area - £25k PA + generous holiday entitlement.

Immediate Start - Full Time.

The Role:

Our client needs an enthusiastic, hardworking, friendly and detailed conscious person to join their small team to help manage the finance and purchasing in all day to day finance and purchasing tasks.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this is an exciting and varied role in a 200+ strong organisation.

Attention to detail and ability to prioritise is essential.

Skills, competencies and experience required in working in financial accounts up to AAT level 3 is a minimum requirement. Good knowledge SAGE, QuickBooks or Xero is essential with excellent finance, purchase orders, sales orders & stock management experience essential.

An excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills both verbally and written are essential.

You will have an excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure and to also meet deadlines set by senior management.

You will also be a team player who is eager to build a strong working relationship with all your colleagues.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Day to day financial management and planning including budgets.
  • Banking - check bank transactions, post bank payments / receipts, reconcile bank accounts, manage payments.
  • Sales Ledger - process company orders, managing invoices, allocating company payments, reconciliation.
  • Purchasing & stock - manage purchase ledger, control and process stock and payments, traceability.
  • Other ad-hoc financial.
  • Payroll.
  • Sales order processing.
  • Handling incoming purchase request from other areas of the organisation.
  • Dealing with any sales queries or problems that arise whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Handling all invoices and payments.
  • Stock procurement & purchase order processing.
  • Plan and manage purchase orders according to sales plans, managing lead times to ensure necessary stock levels maintained.
  • Liaise with suppliers to manage transport and delivery.
  • Deal with any queries or problems that arise and escalate to management as needed.
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls and emails to the business, handling and escalating as needed.
  • Problem solving to maintain high company satisfaction levels.
  • Maintain good relationships with all colleagues and senior stake holders.
  • Office Management.
  • Manage all office suppliers.
  • Use of CRM system.
