The Shipping Co-ordinator takes responsibility for all aspects of the export side of the business from the point at which a contract is agreed up to final payment. This is a permanent role based in Warrington working days Monday - Friday.

A long standing Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain business based close to Warrington.
Description
The role of the Shipping Co-ordinator:
- Supporting a busy Shipping Department with a focus on Bill of Lading documentation
- Acting as the main operational point of contact between customer and freight forwarder
- Producing and issuing Bill of Lading instructions to freight forwarders and customers
- Chasing draft Bills of Lading, checking and approving them or requesting amendments
- Chasing, logging and filing original Bills of Lading, dealing with telex and waybill releases
- Ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with contract and customer requirements, and with customs restrictions at destination (being exposed to different payment types including Letter of Credit)
- Responding to queries from customers and freight forwarders both via email and on the phone (splitting or merging shipments, requesting change of destination, correcting loading details, negotiating costs etc.)
- Producing and updating Bill of Lading tracking reports and sending out daily updates
- Liaising with other departments and multiple depots domestically and internationally
- Learning about other roles within the business which allows opportunity to progress

Job Offer
Salary: £22,000
Hours: Monday - Friday (08:00 - 17:00)
