Logistics Coordinator

One of our market leading manufacturing clients based local to Eye, Suffolk are looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator who will have a hands-on and proactive approach to join the business. This is a Monday-Friday position with office working hours, however some flexibility will be needed due to the production/logistic demands of the business.

Main Duties of the Logistics Coordinator:

Logistics:
• Implement logistic/distribution processes and streamline to improve business efficiency
• Monitor the status of orders and resolve delays in a timely manner
• Liaise with worldwide customs, freight forwarders and shipping lines
• Manage delivery schedules
• Receiving goods into site and distributing to the customer in line with deadlines

Stock management:
• Accurately placing orders with worldwide suppliers in line with customer forecasts
• Overseeing the ordering process from start to finish ensuring that deliveries are in line with requirements
• Full inventory management: receiving goods into the warehouse, carrying out stock checks etc

Administration:
• Inputting all information onto company system and excel, ensuring accuracy of figures
• Process non-confirming stock and following reject/returns policies
• Ad hoc duties to support the production department

Experience required for the Logistics Coordinator:
• Previous experience in logistics/distribution is essential
• You will have excellent numeracy skills and be able to accurately report information
• You will have a proactive and problem-solving approach to all tasks
• You will have your own transport, due to the location based local to Eye, Suffolk

• You will be paid a competitive salary of £28-£35k per annum
