Supply Planner - Queensborough, Kent - up to £26,000 plus benefits
Great opportunity has arisen to join an award winning FMCG business on the Isle of Sheppey as a Supply Planner for this busy department with supplier relationships in Europe and the Far East on an initial 1 year fixed term contract.
You key responsibilities will be:
Creating stock/order analysis sheets
Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers about production and delivery timings, advancing or delaying orders to support sales trends and forecasts
Working closely with project teams and suppliers to manage potential delays to projects and recommend actions
Reviewing out of stock situations or supply issues and recommend mitigating actions
Planning container loading with suppliers to ensure effective delivery of stock
Producing supplier and business KPI's for management
Implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies for all finished goods through reviewing and optimising the inventory parameters and levels
Although based in Queenborough, the role will also require you to travel to London for various trade and commercial meetings.
To secure this role you must have had:
Some commercial experience within a similar supply planning role
Demonstrable project management skills
Be able to use ERP systems
Have experience with Product Obsolescence management, minimising write offs.
Be commercially astute and a confident decision maker.
Demonstrate knowledge of root cause analysis of shortages and out of stock situations.
Be confident communicator with suppliers both in the UK and abroad -where English may not be their first language.
