My client is a leading fashion brand who are seeking and operations manager based in the London Head office

Key responsibilities are-

  • Interact with the area management team and responsible for the development of brand strategy.
  • Shape the regional brand strategy, working with the area management team to incorporate feedback from the affiliates, apply regional judgement and align on choices with the leadership team.
  • Control and manage the level of in-store inventory, new products, visual merchandising and collateral materials. Ensure their timely availability for marketing activities.
  • Working with HR and Training store to arrange and support induction and training for new managers in line with company guidance
  • Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge of the retail industry, including competitors, retail partner performance and consumer trends.
  • To identify opportunities through consumer insights to drive business performance.
  • Drive sales and maximise profitability across all stores.
  • Working together with the Head of Retail and responsible for the day to day management of the Area Managers and liaising with all support functions within the business to deliver operational excellence
  • Ensure the delivery of presentation and commercial standards throughout all stores nationally.
  • Maintain excellent standards in all areas of operational activity and drive sales and profitability through the performance and development of Store Managers, whilst setting and managing store budgets with the Head of Retail.
  • Help Head of Retail to manage new store opening programme, from layout to staff recruitment.
  • Other projects and responsibilities which arise on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Produces and publishes some weekly and monthly sales reports, checks accuracy and provides considered commentary, highlighting area’s both overachieving and underachieving to budgeted sales for internal meetings.
  • Works in conjunction with both the Merchandising and Allocation teams to evaluate in store product offer to best potentialise sales.
  • Coordinates weekly conference calls with relevant stakeholders both internal and external to ensure complete buy in of the business trading stance.
  • Leads seasonal retail strategy meetings for instore retail teams with support of senior management team.
