Junior Estimator/Buyer - Waterlooville
I have an awesome opportunity for a Junior Estimator to work for a leading Roofing and Cladding Contractor that offer long term prospects and career progression in an expanding company.
As the Junior Estimator within their commercial team you will have a great deal of support and have a clear development plan.
My client has a great family feel and promote within. You will be given the opportunity to learn and be supported with further education.
Trainee Estimator and Buyer.
- Co-ordination of enquiries
- Material and area take offs
- Arranging quality sub-submissions
- Following up enquiries, tenders and quotes
Also assisting in the following daily tasks.
- Order processing
- Awarded contract administration
- Maintaining rates
- Creating materials schedules
- Ordering materials
- Project administration co-ordination
Requirements:
- We are looking for a trainee/graduate and will further their education within the construction industry. We are looking for an individual who has completed their HNC in building studies as a minimum requirement or alternatively someone with at least 3 years’ experience within an estimating of buying division
- You must be IT literate (competent in use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word)
- Good verbal and written communication skills along with strong time management and organisational skills.
- Understanding a bill of quantities.
- An enthusiastic, confident and dynamic approach to work tasks is highly desirable, whilst working towards a relevant construction related qualification
