Role Description:
Our Client, a national support service company operating in the public & private sectors in the UK, are currently recruiting for a General Manager to manage a portfolio of large and predominantly site managed sites across London and the Home Counties. This high profile role requires an individual with excellent communication, managerial, delegation & organisational skills along with a strong focus on achieving financial goals & targets. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding and very forward-thinking organisation.
As a General Manager your key functions will include:
- Ensure the management and supervisors are aware of what is expected of them and their team
- Ensure that all staff are competent to carry out their tasks
- Liaise with the management/supervisory team to ensure on-going monitoring of the service
- Ensure correct recording, collation and analysis of Quality information required by the Quality System
- Ensure implementation of any corrective action required to maintain service levels and KPI's
- Ensure that all administrative requirements of Client and Contractor are met correctly
- Ensure working practices comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act, and the Relevant Statutory Provisions
- Liaise with the Client management representatives and customers of the service
- Compile and produce all routine reports and requirements for the client and the contractor
- Use available technical and human resources to optimum efficiency, including Client supplied information technology
- Minimise staff turnover
- Responsible for leadership, motivation, team building and taking a fundamentally pro-active view of the service provided
- Continually seek improvement in the service
- Responsible for the profitability of the contract within the given area.
