Job: Warehouse Manager
Location: Sudbury [ Suffolk / Essex Border ]
Salary: Circa £50K

We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team based in Sudbury (Suffolk, UK) who will be responsible for helping implement world class warehousing processes, always looking for new opportunities to improve efficiency and minimise waste. This is a hands-on role that involves running our all warehousing operations, you will be responsible for a large team split across 3 local sites.

The Warehousing Manager has ownership for all receipted inventories and associated transactions, the storage of inventories on site and those held at third party storage locations.

Driving the warehousing and stores functions to ensure that all inventories raw components and finished materials are accounted for and managed at the highest level of quality and accuracy.

Manage a multi-site team, optimizing headcount and skill base ensuring the continuous on time supply of materials to production lines and that finished goods shipping dates to the Siemens distribution centres and branches are met.

The Warehousing Manager has full ownership of material supplies to support production cell output as well as finished goods shipments to the distribution centres and branches.

You will drive your site supervisors to lead a culture of continuous improvement, who shall be key instigators and leads for CIP activities.

You are responsible for all aspects of security within the warehousing framework ensuring that required standards are adhered to and that all security accreditations are maintained.

Experience Required:

Extensive management experience of warehousing environment, manual and semi-automated processes and SAP IM & WM Platforms. Zero defect culture. Focus on meeting Quality, Delivery & Cost requirements.

Have a good understanding of finance and budgeting processes to allow effective analysis and cost centre spend control.

Bring knowledge of alternative approaches, identifies best practice through previous experience and benchmarking to a warehousing/manufacturing environment to enable change in processes (need to validate changes) and to drive the utilisation & efficiency of the group to reduce costs and improve quality.

Requires proven experience of warehousing/inventory management in a GMP environment.

An experienced leader in a warehousing role.

Ability to work in fast pace environment while retaining strong attention to detail and decision making.

Good knowledge of SAP.
