Supply Chain Analyst

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

This role exists to primarily support the Customer Service Team Leader and Supply Chain team in development/improvement activities within the Supply Chain Team. Using your strong Excel and data manipulation skills, you will optimise product availability and stock levels so that all sales opportunities can be realised, whilst working within stock budgets. Your strong communication skills will be utilised on a daily basis, as you will be the first point of call for customers and internal stakeholder departments in regards to product supply queries.

Your skills

  • Establish areas of best practice for managing the critical path process across Supply Chain
  • Engage closely with the project teams across Supply Chain and the wider NPD team to support in the introduction of new products. This includes ensuring that the products are planned appropriately in line with component and delivery lead times ahead of launch.
  • Supporting the roll out of forecasting software across the wider team
  • Work closely with the supply planners to scope and develop component stock holding reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Customer Service Team Leader with their management of forecasting including: replenishments and all exceptions to drive maximum availability within stock budgets, growth in sales and market conditions
  • Supporting activities related to NPD and routes to market
  • Implementing and embedding new reporting for component stock holding
  • Supporting the implementation of a Supply Chain Deliver Strategy, including modelling and analysis
  • Supporting various process and system improvements across Supply Chain
  • Support Customer Service Team Leader in forecasting future sales demand for all products within the portfolio and manage the product flow through the Supply Chain, maximising on-shelf availability in stores
  • Work effectively cross-functionally across several business functions up to Sales Director level to support the delivery of the Company objectives
  • Engage and communicate with Buyers and Sales Team, challenging and influencing where appropriate to deliver corporate targets
  • Control stock at optimum levels throughout the supply chain, to achieve category stock holding targets up to a value of £7.5m, and an annual wastage budget of up to £70k, delivering significant year/year improvements
  • Control supply chain relationships with a global customer base encouraging close collaboration and driving down end to end costs, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Validate the data against the forecast and ERP systems
  • Ensure that all Sales Orders are placed within agreed supplier lead times and managed the end to end process of Sales Orders
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers
  • To work with and monitor the supply base to ensure compliance against KPIs and agreed targets

Key Skills

  • Experience in a high volume supply chain role or similar operational environment
  • Able to work under periods of high pressure
  • Good negotiation skills

  • Good PC & systems skills
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Must demonstrate a strong customer focus
  • Good verbal and written presentation skills
  • Ability to absorb and interpret large amounts of data
  • Ability to positively influence up to Senior Manager level
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
