Warehouse Manager

Our client, a fast paced manufacturing business, seek to appoint a Warehouse Manager to manage a warehousing facility starting from stock receipt / goods inward through stock management, production and further dispatch. You'll be managing a large warehouse facility with the freedom and flexibility to create a more efficient warehouse as the sole Warehouse Manager working closely with the Operations Director.
As Warehouse Manager you need to have experience of managing a warehouse making decisions, driving lean implementation and an appreciation of continuous improvement.

* Supervise the warehouse staff, carry out appraisals, and report any concerns to the Director team
* Maintain the logistic movement of stocks by initiating, coordinating and enforcing procedures throughout transport and dispatch
* Reconciliation of all stocks, including aged stocks, stock rotation, damaged stock, and the continual drive to reduce stock holding levels
* Develop a proficient understanding of the warehouse management systems and the systems that are directly linked
* Promote the importance of continuous improvement activities and support the maintenance & development of KPIs for your area of responsibility
* Ensure adherence of health, safety and environmental procedures

* Ability to efficiently organise resources in line with the requirements of the customers demands
* Experience within a fast paced manufacturing division. Experience of UVPC manufacturing is highly beneficial
* Be able to develop teams and set key goals / objectives for them in a warehousing environment
* IT and numerical skills, the ability to evaluate spreadsheets and reports generated through the businesses operating systems
* Capable of implementing new ideas, driving a culture change and growing the Warehouse function of an already successful business

This manufacturing business hasnt had a Warehouse Manager before so we need someone with experience of heading up the Warehouse function of a fast moving SME business. You will be reporting into the Operations Director to work together and create a more efficient business.
