MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS MANAGER

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business as a Maintenance Contracts Manager. The company are growing their Maintenance division and looking for an experience Engineering Manager to lead on a new contract win with a high end retail client, across the UK, with a focus on Greater London, The Midlands and parts of Manchester on occasion.

The Maintenance Contracts Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

The Maintenance team consists of Static, Foot Mobile and Mobile Engineers on the Maintenance side, as well as a small team of Project Engineers/Manager to carry out minor refurbs and installations across the contracts for small works, so a background overseeing small works projects is desirable.

Contract Locations:

  • The contract locations are predominantly in and around London, as well as further sites in Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds. There is also one site in Edinburgh which would require a visit on occasion - Flights would be arranged for such visits
  • The role requires a dynamic and professional Contract Manager with strong H&S understanding to be responsible for the management of this new contract (And others) including initial mobilisation and daily management.
  • You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director and Resource Director.
  • Carry out site surveys and audits
  • Carry out site inspection in reflect finding in risk assessments and method statements prepared for site
  • Attend client meeting as and when required
  • Prepare quotation for additional work / projects requested by existing clients
  • Monitor sub-contractors performance on contracts and review their H&S documentation as well as sourcing best price/quotes
  • Prepare and issue maintenance contract renewal documentation in timely manner
  • Motivate and manage the engineering maintenance teams and ensure that SLA's are adhered to


Ideally you will have:

  • M&E Maintenance Background - Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical or Mechanical discipline
  • NEBOSH Certificate / IOSH Certificate desirable
  • Proven track record of liaising with internal and external partners, suppliers, consultants, landlords, managing agents and other service providers in a clear manner and have the ability to develop relationships
  • Good understanding of FM service contracts and negotiations
  • Good technical knowledge of Hard FM services,
  • Customer focused with sound commercial and financial awareness
  • Strong communicator with confident oral and written skills
  • PC literate - Microsoft operating system and packages
  • Strong customer service ethic, team player mind-set with 'can do’ approach and willingness to 'muck in’ when required
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Full clean UK driving licence

The Maintenance Contracts Manager Will Receive:

  • Salary: c£55,000 DOE + Car Allowance or Company Car (Negotiable)
  • 21 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (22 Days after 3 Years)
