WAREHOUSE MANAGER - POOLE - £22,000 TO £25,000 PA
My client are a very well established, multi million pound turnover company who seek a Manager in their Warehouse to ensure Safety, Quality and performance targets are achieved.
The Warehouse Manager will:
- Hold a valid counterbalance forklift license
- Ensure the accurate receipt of stock and the fulfilment and dispatch of all customer orders in line with the customer delivery promise and agreed SLA’s.
- Participate as a key member of the Operations management team ensuring KPI’s are met whilst implementing plans to continuously improve.
- Ensure the integrity of all stock products for both quality and quantity and to maintain a keen customer focused presence within the operational function at all times.
Duties of Warehouse Manager:
- Ensure Health and Safety rules and policies are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure that operating procedures and conditions comply with Health and Safety legislation.
- Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping within the Distribution centre and the surrounding area.
- To ensure all warehouse staff carry out their duties in line with company Policies, ISO procedures and approved training guides.
- Review and implement processes to ensure that lean operational practice are employed and encourage a culture of CIP.
- The management and development of warehouse team
- Resource planning and allocation of duties.
- Aligning resource with demand to ensure SLA’s are achieved and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Responsible for the recruitment, development and performance management of your team.
- Appraise staff, identify development and training requirements.
- Establish and Implement training programs.
- Provision of safety equipment and work-wear as required.
- Control of absence through continual monitoring and back to work interviews.
- Understand computer system to allow the accurate and efficient processing of all tasks.
- Ensure all machinery (MHE), equipment and vehicles are fit for purpose, service contracts are in place and preventative maintenance and repairs are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
