Process Instruments (UK) Ltd. (Pi), is an established company with a t/o projected to be more than £5m in 2019, that provides high quality water quality analysers to all water related industries including; drinking water, waste water, and industrial water across the globe. Pi has been growing at an average of 20% a year for 10 years and doubles in size every three - four years.

Our solutions include our market leading analysers that combine traditional instrument capability with class leading controls and Water 4.0 cloud based, remote access solutions.

Now, we are looking for a Technical Sales Executive to increase sales both in the UK and in Export territories.

Based in Lancashire, we are recognised as a world-leading expert in our field, working collaboratively with partners globally, you can find our water analyser solutions in more than 60 countries with subsidiaries in France and Ireland and a company representative in China.

Selling with Pi is a rewarding consultative process requiring industry, application and product expertise. Selling in the UK is direct to end users and via OEMs, while in export is via OEMs and Distributors. Other than the personal satisfaction of helping customers find solutions to water treatment problems, Pi is a great place to increase your skill-set as part of a talented team.

The Role

As a Technical Sales Executive, you will operate as part of our technical sales team and maximise sales of our water quality analysers.

In this varied role, you will:

- Target and secure new customers and business opportunities
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers
- Negotiate contracts
- Write tenders and proposals
- Attend and network at conferences and industry forums
- Provide effective handovers to the Project Delivery Team

About You

To be considered as a Technical Sales Executive, you’ll need:

- At least two years’ sales or other relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills
- A results-driven and tenacious approach
- Great team-working skills
- A decent grounding in science or engineering, ideally a degree-level qualification

An understanding of analysers/instrumentation and/or the water and related industries would enhance your application, although full training will be given. Fluency in Spanish, in addition to English, would also be of benefit, but is not essential.

Professionals with varying levels of experience and differing backgrounds are invited to apply as full training will be provided, some of our most successful salespeople started their careers in teaching the sciences.
