Senior Buyer

ARM is looking for a Senior Buyer to join a world class family run business. If you are looking for a career within a business where people really count, look no further.
The role is based within Group Purchasing. As Senior Buyer you'll be in charge of operations and for the strategic direction of the portfolio, as well as compliance with policies and procedures.
About you:
- Purchasing experience within an automotive/manufacturing industry
- Global sourcing experience
- Confident managing complex strategic supplier relationships
- Experience dealing with high technology components
- Experience of NPI
- Experience dealing with a large area of spend
- CIPS qualified or working towards
- Project management skills
- Full driving licence
What you'll be doing:
- Negotiate and agree long term agreements with key suppliers
- Work in conjunction with Engineering to deliver the cost and targets
- Work with SOPs for NPI and ensure that components in designated category conform to the correct standards
- Negotiate and agree appropriate targets and commercial agreements
- Supplier evaluation, selection and development
- Work as part of a global matrix organisation
