Operations Manager, North Birmingham Up to £46,000

You will be working for a leading 3PL company based North of Birmingham.

Your new role
You will be working as an Operations Manager and will be fully accountable for the site in the West Midlands. Your responsibilities will include Health and Safety, legal compliance and full responsibility for the Operator's license. You will be responsible for budgets and consequently will have to have a strong focus on cost control. You will be responsible for managing the site and ensuring that you manage the 60+ workers in an effective manner. This will include implementation and monitoring of procedures and KPI's to ensure continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar role will lead to your success. You will have knowledge and experience in all aspects of road transportation and distribution. This will include having an International CPC license and having a strong background of delivering health and safety improvements. For this role, you will have to have strong leadership skills and have experience of managing a highly unionised workforce. Experience of working with tankers would be desirable. You will be a logical thinker an have strong numeracy and verbal communication skills.

You will receive a salary a competitive salary of £40,000- £46,000
