My client, based in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Category (Product) Manager to support Product Ranging and Product Launches. YOu must have experience in managing a team.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE IN CATEGORY MANAGEMENT / TRADE / MERCHANDISING / BUYING WITH MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
The successful Category Product Manager will be responsible for:
- Identifying opportunities through trend analysis, sales/platform data analysis, customer needs analysis, customer feedback/reviews and competitor research.
- Product pricing decisions - planning market segmentation and pricing
Planning products & features from idea through iterative feedback to launch. Working with product sourcing team to obtain samples and plan product designs.
- Working with professional designers to plan product designs, customisations and product packaging.
- Planning and developing media assets including photography and videos.
- Creating product copy and merchandising products for launching on e-commerce websites and platforms.
- Brand management - managing design assets
As Category Product Manager, you must have the following skills:
- Good Literacy/ Writing Skills- A Level Subjects and Grades
- Good Numeracy/Data Analysis- A Level Subjects and Grades
- Strong knowledge or passion for IT/ Tech
- Understands the modern online world- Can explain roles of social media, online retailers, search engines etc (Google Analytics, Google AdWords, PPC).
- Previous experience in Product Marketing, including Social Media
- Good Presentation Quality & Design/Photoshop/ Web Skills
- Product Management experience in FMCG/ retail/ technology/ fashion
- Experience of Buying/Selling Online
- Strong commercial awareness and experience of working to commercial deadlines
