Our Pershore based client who are family owned company are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to join their fantastic team!
You will manage the MRP system to enable the procurement of parts in line with the sales and forecast requirements and the companies stocking strategy. Reviewing and mitigating the impact of shortages through regular communication with the supply chain is a key responsibility. Regular reviews of consumables and ensuring stock is ordered, expedited accordingly. You will provide cover to the Logistics coordinator role during periods of sickness and/or holidays. Sage 200 experience would be beneficial but not a necessity.
Key tasks are as follows:
- Management of MRP system for a selected number of suppliers/product groups
- Proactive monitoring and providing solutions to potential shortages.
- Expedite orders with suppliers in line with the business needs.
- Data entry.
- Processing NCR reports with suppliers.
- Issue new drawings in line with the Drawing Release Process.
- Management of consumables stock including stores, janitorial, paint, catering
- Management of company workwear including PPE
- Ad-hoc purchasing tasks including Visas, travel, catering, accommodation etc.
- Part number creation
- General filing
- Price updates
- Provide administrative support to other departments
Salary - £18k-£20k DOE
