Operations / General Manager (Supply Chain / Electronics Industry)

£Exc. Salary + Car Allowance + Benefits Package

Based from their UK operation in Leamington Spa, our client operates a fast paced, service driven supply chain and distribution division, supporting the UK territory of a world class manufacturer within the electronic components industry.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will own full operational responsibility and the general management of this highly efficient and profitable division, that delivers high performance products and solutions to a critical of mass of UK based clients.

Principal Accountabilities for Operations Manager:

  • To ensure the smooth running of operations in order to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of stock handling, production and distribution.
  • To meet the business requirements for fast turn around delivery of quality products, with maximum cost efficiency in order to deliver the joint objectives of customer satisfaction and profit contribution.
  • To ensure that both the business and the team meet with the performance standards of the organisation, adhering to process, quality standards alongside company values and behaviours.
  • To ensure complete customer satisfaction; responding to escalated issues and attending client meetings as required.
  • To own all aspects of Team Management, Leadership, HR, Training and Employee Wellbeing.

Principle Requirements for Operations Manager:

  • As a proven and practical operations/general manager, you will have experience of working within a fast paced, supply chain environment, ideally in a technology or electronics based business.
  • You will have the flexibility and hands-on approach to deliver the results and expectations of a successful, creative and entrepreneurial business unit, whilst operating within the structure and domain of a global, public listed, organisation.
  • You will be working closely with the COO to deliver on objectives, budgets, growth forecasts and the future vision of the business; the ability to make things a practical reality and communicate and inspire a team is therefore essential.
