Recruitment Pursuits Commercial are working in collaboration with one of the West Midlands fastest growing companies’ in their search for a recent graduate to take on the role of Planning and purchasing assistant within their business.
We are looking for someone who has recently graduated, is now seeking a career within the area of planning and purchasing and can demonstrate the following:
- Analytical skills
- Commercially aware/business acumen
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- Problem solving skills
- Works at a high level of attention to detail
- Logically minded, not afraid to take responsibility
- A high level of MS office proficiency particularly Excel
With this role it is not about having experience within a similar role, its about wanting to learn and being excited about embarking on your first rung of the career ladder.
You will be fully immersed in the business and have the opportunity to learn everything there is to know about working within a successful manufacturing company.
You will be closely mentored by the purchasing and production manager and be involved with all elements of the following:
- Supplier Liaison
- Creating, monitoring and revising production plans
- Raising purchase orders
- General administrative support within the business
- Maintaining the production schedule and ensuring that all internal and external parties are aware of any delays
- Support the continuous improvement of production scheduling to optimise efficiencies
- Liaising with Logistics to ensure completion of orders to customer delivery requirements
- Coordinate and support regular stock takes, compiling stock inventory reports
