Our client is a well-established global service provider to the Freight forwarding, express and international parcels, and warehousing and logistics industry. The network has more than 354 locations across 60 countries and with 13,000 employees serving alliance customers and attending to the details of their business round the clock, around the globe.

We are now looking for a Trailer Freight Operations Executive to work on a Customer's premises so you must be able to work with the client and be professional, tactful and diplomatic.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday -1pm - 10pm on a rotational pattern with 1 hours break

You will responsible for end to end control of all shipments coming into and out of Roadfreight depot in Wednesbury.Please note - This role has both office based tasks and warehouse based tasks - the candidate must have the flexibility to be able to work between the office and the warehouse/outdoors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Manifest daily export trailers and send related pre-advices
Update collection and delivery status in a timely manner
Responsible for web bookings
Monitor, chase and process all POD's ensuring timely updating of internal system.
Log and report outturn daily reports, cross referencing any discrepancies, completion of new job references, delivery notes and amending of job details within a 2 hour window
Contact hauliers to provide quotations for special collections/deliveries
Monitor and deal with transport queries by liaising with other depots
Checking that collections are clear and populating the planning sheet
Responsible for creation and issuing of run sheets detailing all collections and deliveries
Working with Warehouse and Transport teams to ensure smooth and efficient movement of all shipments
Customer Service - dealing with queries from customers, subcontractors and drivers and assist
in their enquiries via phone and email, ensuring satisfactory and timely resolution
Data entry with attention to detail
Transport planning for same day collections
Adding accruals
Creating movements for subcontractors

Key skills & attributes:

You will have Freight or Transport operations experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
Highly organised and a team player
Deadline focused
Flexible, adaptable and quick to learn
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent communication skills
Detail focused
Must be able to work well under pressure
Fluent English, both written and spoken is essential
Possess a positive outlook, promoting constructive responses to the challenges of work
Highly focused, administrative role so attention to detail is essential.

Benefits:

Start Date - ASAP
Salary - £16K - £19K per annum depending on experience
Hours -Monday - Friday, 1pm - 10pm on a rota basis
Bonus - Eligible for scheme - 4%
