This is a fantastic opportunity if you are an experienced Buyer seeking an exciting new permanent job with a very successful, and well-and reputable company, based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. With a friendly team and on site parking!

Your duties as a Stock Re-Order Buyer as part of the Purchasing Team will include:

  • Raise and collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to maintain accurate stock holding to support a seamless supply to customers
  • Review inventories and order as required
  • Review shipment plans against orders
  • Challenge suppliers with late shipment of orders, under or over quantities and damaged goods
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Liaising with Sales Account Managers for the purpose of forecasting volumes required
  • Mange stock levels against forecasted supply
  • Preparing customer quotations working to deadlines
  • Possessing a commercial awareness regarding competitive quotations

Previous experience of working in a Buying role is required along with experience of producing customer quotations. In addition, you will have excellent communication and strong negotiation skills. Knowledge of overseas buying would also be advantageous.
