Procurement Specialist / Negotiator- Freight, Diesel and Bitumen - £44,200 - £50,000

Our prestigious client is looking for a Procurement Specialist / Negotiator with extensive knowledge in Freight, Diesel and Bitumen.

The job purpose will be to develop and implement assigned negotiations for the given categories, sourcing projects and monitor market trends. You will be able to closely collaborate with local and global procurement teams and all the relevant internal European stakeholders in order to deliver the most suitable and sustainable product/service in each requirement instance. You will continually seek the best options, challenging the status quo where needed. Delivering measurable improvements in terms of cost savings in line with agreed savings targets to improve business profitability.

You will be tracking performance on a monthly basis, recording delivered savings and benefits. Management of SAP agreements and tools to ensure operations can purchase the agreed goods and services.

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent)l, ideally in Economics or Business/Procurement with CIPS and, or CPC. Excellent working knowledge of SAP and PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Outlook with experience of Supply Chain/Freight and, or Procurement and Negotiation.

Deep knowledge of Supply trends and Vendor management is needed. The ability to speak more than one European language would be a plus point although not essential. You will have high self esteem,mature leadership skills and the ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
