Due to internal progression, our client has a great job opportunity for a Cross-dock Warehouse Shift Manager. You will be able to start with a blank canvass and make the afternoon cross dock operation your own! You will be managing a growing cross-dock operation ensuring that the volumes of deliveries and collections through the distribution site are managed safely and efficiently. You will manage 2 team members empowering them and developing a high performing operation that will focus on delivering the effective running of the warehouse. You will be responsible for safety, productivity and cost-effective management of all key tasks.

Other key accountabilities include managing all administrative tasks (PODs, manifests, labels) are carried out, ensuring that the product is trans-loaded correctly and all machinery and equipment is maintained and operated correctly. You'll be able to develop initiatives to benefit and improve processes of the cross dock operation and manage all aspects of performance and personal development of your team. Being a privately owned business you'll have a great opportunity to influence positive change and develop processes and systems to your advantage.

In terms of skills, we are looking for candidates that can demonstrate experience within cross dock, pallet network or 3PL warehouse environments. You will possess excellent leadership, motivational and people management skills. You'll have experience of working with IT systems in particular warehouse management systems and hopefully experience of Roadrunner transport management system. Experience with Counterbalance and PPT forklift licences are essential.

Working from the distribution centre in Crick you will be rewarded with a salary up to £28,500 per annum, 25 days holiday, uniform, free car parking, auto-enrolment pension scheme and access to additional benefits. Your normal working week will be 40 hours over 5 days (normally Monday to Friday) 13:45 to 21:45.
