Operations Director

Our client is one of the leading food businesses in its sector, with complex operations based in several parts of the UK. As a result of continued expansion they are now looking for a talented and ambitious Operations Director to join the team and combine and streamline these operations, ensuring that all of the products are produced in the correct location, based on total supply chain costs.
The role is therefore considerable and although the existing team have achieved significant success in improving the process flow, the real challenge lies in not only taking these manufacturing units to the next level and truly making them world class, but also in taking a holistic view to the supply chain to identify any further opportunities to drive out cost.
Of graduate calibre, it is likely that you are running a large production unit already and want to progress to the next stage. This opportunity will test your man management, planning and organisational skills as it is a 'hands on' culture, yet you will be given the opportunity to test your strategic thinking in creating manufacturing units that are simply way ahead of its competitors.
